the algorithm just fed me this post and im so glad it did! i just discovered WNU and bought a boyfriend shirt in a bright green hemp fabric and im obsessed!!
one recommendation i would have for button-downs is this singaporean brand called Good Addition. i was in singapore a few months ago and stumbled into their store. i bought their navy poplin shirt and im obsessed with it! the fit is so good (im 5'3 and sized up) and the fabric is nice (though the navy poplin attracts lint) https://goodaddition.store/collections/signature-shirts plus the price point is stellar. and it looks like they ship internationally!
Oh my god I thought I bookmarked this post ages ago and then couldn’t find it - thank goodness it popped up on my feed! What a fantastically thorough review 🙏👔🙏
This was such an insightful read! I wish WNU would do a go between the boyfriend and the classic style, as I love my boyfriend fit but I’m 5’1 so all 3 of mine are also so long, I hadn’t even thought of hemming them - what a good idea!
I get so much of my clothing hemmed, it’s so hard when you are petite! I asked my seamstress to maintain the same shape/dimensions and they did an impressive job.
Love this! Button downs, particularly white ones, are my love language. I wrote a roundup of my faves for The Quality Edit in December, 2021 and am revisiting it this fall — with Chava Studio at the top of my list to explore. Their feature on IG today with Jenna Lyons + Sarah Clary is just darling!
Oh I love your piece! A solid white button down truly is the best and easiest way to look chic. Now if I could just have a solution for all the different stains it seems to attract 😂
This is the sort of content I have craved in women's style blogs. The pattern and repetition in what hangs in our closets makes for a fantastic personal style conversation. I need to make a post of my own on my take on shirting. Thank you for this.

I’m a fan of the Gap perfect shirt and the big shirt, esp bc they offer petite sizing!
I’ve also had great experience with Alex Mill! I just wish they’d do an educator discount so I could buy more from them year round! 🥲
Oh an educator discount would be amazing!
Wow!! Loved reading this - Will pass along the kind words to the Alexmill team!
Truly love the clothes you make and the fact that your CX team is real people who are so helpful!

Here's the old piece for reference: https://www.thequalityedit.com/articles/best-white-button-down-shirts-for-women. WNU and Alex Mill were hits for me too.

Wouldn’t that be brilliant?

Thank you so much! I would love to see your take on shirting!!
Love my Sezane Max! I think it’s the only piece of clothing I have from them but it gets soo many wears. I do want the steam closet review!
This is the motivation I need to remove the plastic wrapping and use it finally (2 years later 😂)
Love how thorough this article is girl ❤️. Bad for my budget though cause I’ve just added 5 button downs on my fall shopping list 🤦🏼♀️
Ooooh which ones??? But honestly, these are so timeless so I can’t fault you for adding 5!
The olive one by WNU , everything by Sezane and the green one by Alex Mill. Loveeeeeee
