Mother’s Day this year is on Sunday May 12th. That’s three weeks away and a decent amount of time to plan something. Before you purchase anything from this or any other gift guide, make sure to check if the mom in question actually needs anything. Dealing with an unwanted gift is honestly annoying and stressful, and that's the last thing you want to give!
And if you're choosing to purchase gifts, what better way to show your love than by also supporting women-owned brands, like the ones on this list!
📝 Quick note: This is a longer post with a lot of good stuff so if you’re reading via email, click through to the web version or read on the Substack app to make sure you get to read all the 🛍️ mentioned 🔖
For the mom who has everything:
Book a session with Tori Time if you are in LA! Seriously - she will make you feel like a celebrity and those pictures will make everyone so happy. It will be an experience that’s bound to bring mom so much joy.
For the mom that needs a wardrobe refresh:
There is nothing more perfect for a wardrobe refresh than some high quality t-shirts and jeans. With spring in full swing and summer on the way, find the perfect daily staples from The Big Favorite and Nelle Atelier that will fit in and elevate any wardrobe. The Big Favorite has the best basics (their new reversible bra is chefs kiss) and their Re-Worked Shirt and Relaxed Crew just happen to pair so well in my wardrobe with my daily favorites jeans from Nelle Atelier (I have two of the Emily style).
For the mom that needs a moment alone
Give her the gift that lets her have a moment to herself. Let her unwind alone with the perfect pin from Day Rate Beauty to put her hair up, relax with the best organic tea from Alaya tea, feel the vibes with the lushest candle from Atmo Home and enjoy the the yummiest bon-bons from Yami Yami.
For the mom that needs something nice to carry her things:
You cannot go wrong with the perfect handbag from Chau Saenz or Lindquist. Depending on the preference and needs of the mom in question, there are a ton of styles (and colors) across both these brands that is sure to make her feel amazing {and organized} when she steps out of the home with her new bag. I have pretty much worn my Fava bag from Lindquist non-stop since the day it arrived.
For the mom-to-be
Gift the new mom the best maternity and postpartum bra. Truly nothing better out there than the ones from Our Embrace. It works for handsfree pumping and for breastfeeding and honestly for all that comes after.
The softest blanket from Superstitchous, with meaningful motifs, is perfect for cuddling and makes a great gift not only for the baby but also for the new mom!
And last but not least, gift the new mom the best electrolytes from hey freya to ensure she is properly hydrated during her postpartum journey.
